About Easeline

Who I am

I'm Samuel. I have 50 years of experience in sewing, mostly in leather clothing. I ran a factory making fur coats in Frankfurt, Germany, and then a factory making leather garments, with three shops in Caracas, Venezuela.

In 1994 I came back to Israel, and from then on I made leather garments to measure and for boutique shops. Right after the COVID period I stopped my professional activity and began building apps. Easeline is one of them, and I have been working on it for about two years.

Why I built it

In all my years of work I always needed a good pattern, because a good pattern is the base of a good finished garment. Anyone in the trade knows how hard it is to find a good pattern made for one specific person.

I want to give a proper answer to that, for everyone.

What Easeline does

You enter a person's measurements (or start from a standard size), choose the style, check the drafted pieces and their seams, and print the pattern at full size, with a square to check that the printer did not rescale it. The patterns are drafted by Easeline's own engine, following established patternmaking methods.

How far to trust it

Easeline is still in beta. Professional testers are sewing toiles on real bodies and reporting, in centimetres, what had to be corrected, and I correct the engine from what they find. Until a garment has been tested enough, treat its pattern as a very good starting point: sew a toile before you cut your fabric.
